Course Summary (brief description of course)
In today’s fast past world, people have a lot to accomplish, and sometimes tempers can flare. Our jobs require that for our own safety, we are able to recognize when others become emotionally hijacked, and we must have the skill sets to de-escalate situations into workable solutions.
Course Performance Objectives (4 or 5 measurable objectives)
- Able to articulate when someone is becoming emotionally hijacked
- Able to describe how to use the 4-Tenants Principal Policing in Disarming Dialogue
- Able to discuss how Empathy and Paraphrasing can be utilized as a tool
- Able to describe the 5 tools for voluntary compliance
- Able to articulate how to use the 5-Step process during an aggressive situation
